PP is Non-toxic, tasteless, density, strength, stiffness, hardness and heat resistance better than LDPE, and could be used at about 100 ℃. PP Has good dielectric properties and high-frequency insulation , but it is easy brittle in the low temperature , low wear resistance and easy to aging. Suitable for production of general machinery parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts. PP can be used for utensils,as the common acids, alkalis and other organic solvents almost had no effect on it, .
Polypropylene has many excellent features:
1, the relative density of only 0.89-0.91, is one of the lightest plastic.
2, good mechanical properties, other than impact resistance,  the other mechanical properties is better than polyethylene, and PP has good processing behavior.
3, high heat resistance, temperature could up to 110-120 ℃ when continuous use.
4, good chemical resistance, almost non-absorbent, does not react with most chemicals.
5, pure texture, non-toxic.
6, good electrical insulation.
7, the transparency of polypropylene products is better than high density polyethylene products. 
It also has many disadvantages:
1, Bad cold resistance and low-temperature impact strength.
2, the products could be effect by light, oxygen and heat to be aging.
3, bad stainability.
4, inflammable.
5, Bad toughness
